Chicken Legs with Messino Balsamic, Honey, and Sesame
Juicy roasted chicken legs glazed with a glossy blend of Messino red balsamic, honey, and toasted sesame. A sweet and savoury dish with bold Mediterranean character and a satisfying crunch.
Ingredients:
6 chicken legs (drumsticks or thighs, skin-on)
2 tbsp Revoo extra virgin olive oil
3 tbsp Messino Red Balsamic Vinegar
2 tbsp honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Optional: chopped green onion or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Marinate the chicken
In a bowl, whisk together Revoo olive oil, Messino balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, garlic, mustard, salt, and pepper. Place chicken legs in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour over the marinade. Let marinate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for deeper flavour).
Roast the chicken
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the marinated chicken legs on a parchment-lined baking sheet or roasting pan. Reserve excess marinade. Roast for 35–40 minutes, basting halfway through with reserved marinade, until chicken is cooked through and skin is golden.
Finish with sesame
During the last 5 minutes of cooking, sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken and return to the oven to toast. The glaze should be bubbling and lightly caramelized.
Serve
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onion or parsley if desired.

Serve with roasted vegetables, steamed rice, or a fresh green salad with citrus vinaigrette. Also pairs beautifully with a chilled glass of white wine or sparkling water with lemon.
